For anyone driving an older van or car it is a hard constraint rather than a cost, and worth checking registrations against the standard before signing.

They also mean narrow staircases, lifts that may be absent, floors of twenty rather than a hundred desks, and heating and cooling that were fitted long after the building. For a professional or financial firm the Edinburgh premium is usually the right spend; for a business that simply needs room in Scotland, it rarely is.
